Petroleum Economist-KPC Hydrocarbons Strategy Forum

The theme of the first edition of the Hydrocarbons Strategy Forum was “Cooperation: The Gulf's New Imperative”. It was hosted by Petroleum Economist and KPC, and inaugurated by HE Dr Ali Saleh-Al Omair, Minister of Oil and Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs of Kuwait. Participants at the Forum, which included Ministers, industry leaders, and experts, explored the factors behind the drastic fall of oil prices and its possible impact on investment in the oil and gas industry.
Dr Flores-Quiroga delivered a keynote speech on the “New Forces at Work in Energy Supply and Demand”. High-level participants included HE Mohammed Al-Ruhmy, Minister of Oil and Gas of the Sultanate of Oman, HE Nizar M. Al-Adsani, Deputy Chairman and CEO of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation, HE Sara Akbar, CEO of Kuwait Energy.
