Japan Saudi Arabia Methanol Company Visits IEF Headquarters

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia: The International Energy Forum was honored to host a delegation from the Japan Saudi Arabia Methanol Company (JSMC) at the IEF Secretariat on Sunday 12 November.

The Japanese delegation, led by JSMC President Shinichi Tokuda, was welcomed by IEF Secretary General Joseph McMonigle. Mr McMonigle acknowledged the exemplary role that Japan plays in supporting the forum’s work on energy security, market stability and transparency.

The delegation received a briefing on the IEF's dialogue and research agenda, and made a presentation on the JSMC, which operates one of the world’s largest methanol production facilities in Jubail, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The JSMC delegation also participated in a roundtable discussion with IEF representatives on market trends, energy and climate policies.
